Audio delay when playing some videos?

I have the Avivo codes pack and I am getting an audio delay when watching videos off my HD. At first the movies are fine then as I get into them a bit there becomes a delay in the audio. The delay is about one second. To fix it I find all I need to do is pause the video, skip ahead or skip back, then return where I left off and play it again. That fixes it for about 15 minutes. Anyone know what’s going on?

whats the format of videos. it may be bad dvd ripping software used to make those videos.

try video lan 8.5 on them (search on internet , video lan is free and best).
it plays most thing flawlessly.
so if video lan 8.5 plays well then it's your codec pack. don't use codec packs
all you need is ac3 filter, and 3 or 4 codecses. I forgot which ones because I use
video lan and don't need any codecs.

Well if I uninstall my codecs pack half the videos dont play right and I dont have audio on 75% of them. Is video lan just a playback program like WMP?

very popular player, I never had to download any codec or filter with it.
but it does play wmv files worse than windows media player.
so it should play any avi.

is where you get any codec.
so try uninstalling your codecs. play your files in windows media player.
it should tell what codec you are missing. and get the list of those codecs
I used to do that. but then I started using video lan for video playback and forgot
about codecs.
ac3 filter and divx 6.5.1 codecs is all I ever need to play 90% of my files using
non video lan players.

try different pack. this one is really good

Free-codecs.com is a good source but i will just one this one pack.

uninstall yours and install cccp and all your videos will play fine, no matter if they are .avi .ogg or what ever that you can think off.

good luck
