Audio input problem

Dear friends,

Something is wrong with my laptop. My head phones were in my audio in port. Accidently, it fell straight on the headphones and pushed the port inside the computer. I can't use headphones anymore. Now, i can barely play audio out loud. Pressure has to be applied to the audio part of my laptop in order to hear audio out loud.

Do you think i may have to get a new sound card to fix it, or is it a matter of putting the audio port back into place? I want to hear every possible solution.

I still have warentee on this laptop, but it would take 2 to 3 weeks to get fixed. It's a toshiba laptop by the way.

Thanks in Advance!

Well, to begin with you can't just buy a new sound card because the sound adapter in your computer is not actually a specific card it's actually on the motherboard so you'd have to replace the entire motherboard to replace the sound adapter. My guess is something inside got damaged when you dropped it so it sounds like the best option if you don't know how to open it up and look at it yourself is to send it back.
