Automatically selecting startup option on launch

So recently my laptop just started doing something utterly irritating and unexpected. When I start my computer I have 2 options: Windows 7: (Pae Patched) [EMs Enabled], and the second option was: Windows 7 [EMs and enabled]. I was able to select the second option for the longest time and now suddenly, it automatically is choosing the first option. If anyone can be of assistance, I would be extremely grateful.

Sorry everybody's for wasting your time. The reason this was happening is because of something I had plugged into my USB slot.
