AUX temperature

Hello
Lately my computer started to be very very slow and unresponsive.
I ordered a technician and he looked at the temperatures in my computer and this is what it said:

AUX: 127C
CPU die: 54C
PCH: 59C
Voltage Regulator: 55C
(the rest are normal)

The guy said that there is a chip that is getting really hot (AUX) and I need to either buy a whole new pc or replace the Motherboard and processor, which is very expensive.

I wanted to know what you guys think about it. Is it true what he said?

AUX is likely reading an invalid sensor as that value is on a binary border.

There's likely something else wrong with your PC. I'd dust it out and run Memtest86+ for a few passes on the RAM and something like SeaTools to long scan the hard drive. Also, doing some malware scans would be well-advised as that's one of the primary reasons where PCs run like crap.

I'd also ditch the guy you've been working with, he doesn't sound particularly experienced and can't even tell you specifically what 'AUX' is on the board.

He said that the AUX is some kind of chip in the board that can't be replaced so I need to buy a whole new board (and processor).
I cleaned A LOT of dust, but I don't understand how to download memtest. is it in this link: http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm
and click "bootable CD/ISO"? I have windows 7.

Right now im scanning malware (after a very long time...). I will update if anything came up

You can use something like Ultimate Boot CD that has these utilities, you'd just install the ISO to a CD/DVD and then boot from it.

'Some kind of chip' isn't specifics, you also aren't required to buy a new processor if you're buying a board with the same socket.

Any 'real' technician would physically probe the board (such as an IR gun) to see if those were accurate results. The binary border is significant since the low/max range for the sensor could be 0-127C (7-bit) or -127-127C (8-bit), if this temperature never changes (such as if you left the computer off for a while) then it's not an actual sensor that's being read.

Ok so it found 6 malwares 0_0
I still don't understand what to do with the memtest, and what is this new thing you gave me?
Still not sure if it totally fixed the slowness but after the dust and malware cleaning it seem to run a little bit faster.
