AV to VGA

So I have an Acer P223W 22", and I want to know if I get an Xbox 360 VGA AV Cable:

Will it display my 360? Also, will my speakers do the sound?

Monitor is here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000VPG18E

[EDIT:] I figured out how I can deal with the sound. I have an iPod Dock, and the AV-VGA cable comes with two audio input leads. The Dock has one inout on the back, so I use one of those two-into-one input 'channelers' and it should work.

I would assume that'd work...I mean I can't think why else they'd make a VGA cable if it wouldn't work with standard VGA inputs ;) But not owning a 360, I can't say for sure... As for the speakers, you'd probably need some kind of converter depending on your speaker input. Assuming you mean on the monitor, you'd probably need a RCA to 3.5mm(headphone) converter. Pretty much the same if you wanted to go into your computer.

Another option, doesn't the Xbox have HDMI out? You could probably use an HDMI to DVI converter...though one of the monitor reviews seems to say it lacks DVI...

Yah, but luckily the lack of DVI input isn't a big deal for me.

What could by annoying is the fact it has no AV, but since I can plug my 360 in, I can play DVD's, so what else could I want it for, right? Well, my other consoles, but I don't have many of those. PS2, GC... that's about it. In any case it's a big improvement for my PC playing (currently 17").

What IS something a big deal is the question of whether or not the monitor has it's own input plug, or if the plug is on the end of a lead that protudes from the monitor... that could be annoying.
