Avast Internet Security email troubles

blocking mail being sent.stops at 99% on my Win XP machine...firewall permission or even disabling firewall won't help..only disabling the shields help:confused:
 
Check the mail settings shield in Avast and be sure sending permissions are allowed?
 
I could only see disable scanning of outbound mail and that worked..not sure its the right fix but don't see permissions:eek:
 
I haven't used Avast in some time, but is there an "advanced" menu you could go into?
 
expert..but nothing like permissions
ps..now i have to disable all shields to send mail,,,crud
