Avast the best?

i wouldnt say its the best because ive never tried all the antivirus software out there lol.
but i would recomend it because its great...i have avast pro and it hasnt let me down.
AVG is also good but i prefer avast.
as for a firewall....try Zonealarm firewall
all of those i mentioned have a free version .

In terms of non-free try Nod 32 or Bitdefender for anti-virus. Both are amazing. As for a firewall I personally don't know why you would want to pay for one but Zone Alarm Pro is an amazing firewall that you have to pay for. If you want free, Comodo in my optinion is the best one.

Try AVG, it's much more reliable. Do NOT use avast! It actually deleted a system file on my PC.
