Average Life Span

What's the average life span of an LCD TV? I have a Sharp Aquos 32'' HD LCD. I've had it since early 2007, and it's on quite often. I'm just wondering how long it'll work for.

Thanks.

I've seen 50,000 (about 6 years of 24/7 use) as a general rule of thumb in the past. But since I know you don't use yours that often, 10-12 years would be reasonable. By then of course it will be obsolete and you'll have a new one anyway...

Alright, good to know. I mean it's an HD LCD, I use it as a TV and to play my consoles on, I just got a nice surround sound system for it, so I should be set for some time.

Thanks.
