I have that Tv Tuner.

Right now its hooked to my PCI slot.
I have a cable wire, coming from the wall slot, to one of the tuner slots. And another cable wire, going from the other open slot on the card, to the tv.

The TV input channel is grainy and a little static. But still definable.
And my Xbox 360 is hooked up to the Red,White, and Yellow slots.

But when I try to 'Capture from Device' in like Windows Movie Maker. The small preview screen remains black.


I went to AVerMedias site, and downloaded the driver, the computer recognizes it and said AVerMedia TV tuner.
But Windows Media Center still doesn't recognize a Tv Tuner.

AverMedia uses a separate software package for capturing like Cyberlink's PowerDirector. You have to use that for capturing and then the WMM later for any editing. So far their software is still XP geared unfortunately. With the Ultra TV MCE 1500 model here I'm stuck where Vista is concerned since the driver is there but no software patch or upgrade is available. I still have to boot XP for any use of their model cards.
 
I've never used that decoder. But they should know right away what will actually work on their product line. Here I'm still ticked about not seeing an update for the Ultra TV software or seeing a Vista ready card for replacement still. They seem to behind there.
