AVG 7.0 or AVG 8.0 ?

Hi guys..

I've got something confuse in my mind,
here's the problem.. I've got AVG 7.0 and AVG 8.0, I use vista home basic with 1 Gb of RAM, which one do u suggest to use, AVG 8.0 or AVG 7.0 and what's the advantage..

AVG 7.0 won't be supported much longer, so it's more like AVG 8 or some other program. Personally I find AVG 8 to be a bit of a resource hog. I'm not so sure using it on a Vista system with only 1GB of RAM would be the best idea. Maybe some other people will give you some input as I too am considering some other virus scanners to load on my machines.

AVG 8.0 has everything in one and is a lot better then 7.0 any 7.5, so go with AVG 8.0, and i have 512MB ram and i had AVG going

I like the interface of 8 but I don't like the link scanner and as a result of turning it off I have this little exclamation mark sitting next to my clock all the time. I find it slows down my internet speed just enough to be noticeable.

I could never get 8 to update properly, so I started using Antivir again.

Same, but i have the internet scanner on, it's good, i haven't noticed any difference on my net speed.

personally, i think that avast! is the best. it detects things AVG and others dont.

Actually, i've heard many say that Avast! is alot better than AVG. I might go back to it
