avg free 8.5

Hope somebody can help as I have been using avg8 for a long time.Today I updated to 8.5.All went well until the end when my overview shows anti-virus and anti-spyware both showing[ database is outdated].all the remaining ones are green[active].I tried updating as normal,but tells me there is no update.Thanks for any help.It also said that the roxio easy cd creater 5 may be interfering with the avg.What do we think?

Did you reboot ? as it's more than a minor update

This is the second time I rebooted with the same results.I did a "scan whole computer" and had 70 warnings.They cleared up ok.I'm using windows xp.I do have a windows security alert icon with a x over it.Any other ideas?

Try to uninstall and reinstall AVG antivirus software on your computer , this will solve your issue .
