Avg antivirus is saying that internal database is out of date..yes i know..my computers date is messed up, but avg like isnt helping me fix it and when i try to fix it by clicking on the time you cant..like the dates dont match up..
 
I'm not 100% sure, but I think your machine's just not downloading the updates. Might you have wireless, or maybe a firewall blocking it? I got that, or something similar on my laptop once because wifi wouldn't be connected by the time AVG tried to scan for updates...
 
AVG will still update itself with XP's firewall active. But if you are running a third party software you will probably have to disable that and see if the updates from Grisoft will come through. The_Other_One is quite correct about a third party software(firewall - antivirus) possibly blocking the current installation from the regular update process. You may want to remove the current installation, reset the time and date if needed then go for a fresh copy of AVG 7.1 with any other firewall/antivirus utilities temporarily disabled.
