avi to video_ts?

i was just wondering how i could get the raw video_ts file of a an .avi file.

There's really no such concept as a raw Video_TS for a compressed AVI file, but you can easily convert an AVI to a DVD format, containing the Video_TS files. VSO ConvertXToDVD is one of my favourite 'easy to use' programs for doing this. TMPGEnc is another preference of mine, which is more complicated to use but more powerful.

There are plenty of others, just to a google search for convert AVI to DVD, or something similar.

nero 7 ultra does it for me
you can put it in a folder on the hdd or burn it to dvd right then and there.
