Avira or Avast

I am looking for a free anti virus, I have been using Avast for some time now and never had a virus (That I know of) or some malicious software.
Which one would you recommend?

I would choose Avira, but overall I would recommended AVG. I've been using AVG for over a year and not one virus.

I used to prefer Avira, but after giving Avast another try, I just can't look back. The PC boots faster, and is much quicker.
