Avira or Avast

Between these 2 antivirus software, which one would you choose? I've been using Avira for a few years, but I have read some good reviews about Avast.

I like Avast. Even the free version gives great protection.

Avast. Haven't tried Avira, I may do a test install to see the difference. The top programs are Avast and Microsoft Security Essentials.

I used Avast for many years until they came out with version 5. It was very buggy so I switched to Avira. I have liked it, but now there is a new version 12 with features I don't care for, so maybe I'll try Avast again.

I use both from time to time (not at the same time) depending on my mood. Both work really well.
