Azureus Bittorrent Client

Hello. I've been having the same problems as a lot of other people with the Azureus Bittorrent Client: My download speeds do not match my connection speed.

I've been setting up my configuration using static IP and port forwarding, as illustrated below, but I still don't get DL speeds higher than about 5-10kbps.

Can anybody glean the problem from the information below?

My Connection: 1024 down / 128 up
My OS: Win XP Pro SP 2
XP firewall disabled and no 3rd party firewalls or anti-virus installed.
Router: Sitecom xDSL/Cable Broadband Router 4s

The screenshots of my configuration can be seen here:

Limit Your upload speed.... and use this port: 52525
i use it ... its fine...
Plus go to azureus ... plugins > Irc there u will get ALL the help untill u fix your prob(with some test torrents and stuff)

Also, in Azureus, you will see a little smiley next to your file you are downloading, what color is that smiley? Also, keep in mind, bit torrent works soley on "the more people downloading, the faster you get the file" type protocol.

I have now limited my upload speed to 12 kbps and have changed the port to what you suggested. But still hasn't fixed the problem though..
And I can't seem to get the IRC working.

My 'smileys' are always either blue or green.

Thanks for helping out..

Seeding will not increase your download speed, although, bit torrent protocol works in a sense that the more people seeding, the more people you can connect to to download that file, thus, downloading it faster. So, essentially, by seeding, you are helping make someone elses download faster. The key point is that the more seeders there are, the more options you have to download from, the faster you download. If you are trying to download a file that only has like 3 seeders and 12 leachers, chances are you are not going to get that file very quick. Also, a green smiley is good but a blue smiley means there is a problem with the tracker file.

Yes, as can be seen in the screenshots I provided (in the link above) I have forwarded my ports. For example I am now trying to download a file that has 29 seeders and 105 leechers. Is that bad? What would a good balance be like?

What do I do about a problem with the tracker file?

Oh and I have since changed to port from 65500 (in the screnshot) to what you suggested, but it hasn't yet helped. Still only getting about 5-8kbps or so.
