Azureus bittorrent

I am a real noob when it comes to bittorrent.
My problem is that whenever i try to download something, i get the icon, i click on it then it doesn't download because i get a red face or a blue face at best.
It says i may have a NAT problem.
I have no idea what this is and what i can do to repair it.
Also on the swarm screen i get plenty of little dots but none of them connect
Any help would be great :confused:
 
It usually takes a minut or so for the download to start anyways, but i think i know wha our problem is. You need to setup port forwarding on your router using the port giving to you by Azureus.
 
yeah it has been telling me to do that to port 6881 but i am new to the bittorrent world and have no idea how to do that.
Step by step instructions would be great

go into your router (usually 192.168.1.1 in your explorer/firefox menu)

look for port forwarding and set port 6881 to forward to your specific IP address

your ip address can be found by the following: start -> run -> cmd -> ipconfig
or if you are on wireless, the easiest way in to just look at your conection settings from the task bar

if your ip is 192.168.X.Y (X usually equals 1,2 or 3 most commonly) Y=1 for your router address
