Azureus / Vlc Player

I have a problem here. I have azureus as my torrent down loader, and VLC for my video player. Now the problem is, I d/l some torrents from a game site (warcraftmovies.com) and when I play the movie, it lags and the video seems frozen, and it shows like parts of boxes with pictures (hard to explain), yet the music plays fine. HOWEVER, other videos that I d/l from other sites work fine. It just seems it's from this gaming site. HOWEVER, I used this gaming site a lot previously and it worked fine before.

P.S. I d/l about 4 movies from this site. So it's not just 1

Anyone know? Maybe it has to do with settings?

I don't see any rules saying we can't talk about a video player. I'm not doing anything illegal, nor asking to help me on it.

Is like live matches patrickv, anyway sounds like vlc is failing i would suggets you to get CCCP and try again if it doesn't work then is the video most likely

VLC packs it's own codecs, CCCP or K-lite wouldn't help. Now if you downloaded media player classic (MPC, good player) and one of the above codec packs, and tested the video, might solve something.

VLC has certain problems with certain video types. I know of just one personally, and that's Matroska format files. MPC plays them, and VLC plays them with much trouble.

Ok the movie plays now, but now the music is lagging/getting cut off on and off. lol The movie does play, but it seems a little bit slow, but plays fine. Now the sound is the problem.

Technically speaking it is P2P and it is against the rules, however he is downloading from a website where the files are made and not containing copyrighted material, therfore is able to be share between people with the owners permission. There are programs that use P2P technology (Xfire, msn) but aren't considered illegal.

Other moderators may disagree with me here, and may close this thread.

although vlc plays almost every format it's not the best player. try others like the k-lite codec pack which includes the bundled media player classic.

for instance i don't use vlc to play wmv, ogm, and mkv files. the video doesn't seem to sync well with wmv although the audio is fine. vlc tends to crash when playing files with multiple audio/subtitles. for the files in question i use media player classic bundled in the k-lite codec pack.

if you think it's a torrent issue to a "hash recheck" in your client after you finish or have your client check do a hash recheck after you've completed the file. you may be missing some pieces which may pixelate/blur some parts of your vid.

another thing i've noticed is that if your video card sucks then you can't play hi def files on any media player. it'll lag, show blotches, etc. that may also be your problem.
