I have been out of the loop for a while, so if this thread has appeared before, forgive me. I am looking at new computers. What I am seing is competition between AMD and Intel (I know this competition isn't new, but now that I am looking towards a new computer, it has become more apparant to me). What is the basic difference between these two processors? Specifically, I am looking at a computer that has the Athelon 64X2 Dual-Core 3800+. I could choose a computer with Intel Pentium D 805. I don't do too much with gaming, but I am looking to get into vidiography. I manage 4 web sites, as well. With everything else being equal, which way should I go. I guess I should say that the RAM and HD are beefed up on both machines. I plan on getting a good video card, as well.
