Hey whats up its been a long time since I build a computer and I just remember how great this site helped me purchase and work me through my insane troubles on my first build so I thank you all again!

So here I am now going to attempt to build a budget computer that is capable of upgrades for future use so this is what I have come up with so far! Enjoy thoughts & suggestions would be awsome!

Mobo: MSI K9A2 Platinum
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130136
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103773
Memory: OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227289
Video: MSI N9600GT 512M OC GeForce 9600 GT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127333
HDD:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148231
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148231
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147074

Again reason for these choices are for #1 Budget since I don't have alot of money at the moment. #2 For future upgrades #3 I have no Desktop comuter atm :P

Also I was able to salvage my cd-rom/dvd-rom & PSU OCZGS600 from my old computer that powersupply I believe is still really good bought it like a month maybe before my old computer died on me from the mobo/cpu.

So Enjoy!

Thanks!

very nice.

but i would go with this case:

much better airflow. and you wont have to worry about overheating unless you start putting some high-end equipment in there.

for the video card i would recommend an ATI graphics card. that way if you ever want to get a second video card your motherboard will support.

Thanks phantomofrussia for your input. I did some research on what you said and came to some replacements.

Computer Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156063 (Good Deal Right Now And Nice Case)
Video: MSI R4670-2D512 Radeon HD 4670 512MB 128-bit GDDR3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127383
Memory:OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227267

I downgraded to DDR2 800 memory since I don't have a Quad Core yet and wanna save a buck.

So hows it look now? Anymore thoughts suggestions.

Thanks!

very nice. the only thing i dont like about 80mm fans is the fact that they can get loud and 120mm fans are quieter and dont require as much power to takein/takeout air.

everything else looks good. :)

Alright back again with some more stuff I'm running across. I've always been a Nvidia person so I went and tried to find a motherboard that would support SLI instead of Crossfire.

instead of the
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130136

they are basically the same accept one supports crossfire & the other is SLI and the SLI board only has 2 PCI Express 2.0 slots which in the future I really only see myself having max 2 videos cards in.

And this would be my video sub.

Bumped Memory to this as well to save some money

Suggestions or thoughts please! Almost purchase time. I think I'm going to order some of it tonite!

Thanks!

Those are the same 2 boards. If you want a SLI board you need a Nvidia 750a/780a chipset board.

Alright I think I'm going to go with good old Nvidia but heres a question I got.

The
EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130339

it seems to be better and cost less then the
BFG Tech BFGE88512GTSE GeForce 8800GTS
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143119

I compared them all seems better on the 9800 stand point other then needing another 6pin power connector. So is it just the brand name BFG that is keeping the price of the 8800 up?

Thanks!
