Back up ALL of my computer files

How do I back-up, basically, ALL of my computers memory?

I've been doing a bit of research and reading, but seem to be just coming across so many different ways to do this, it just gets confusing.

I want to make it simple, copy all my content to a CD-R disc, and that's it... done!!!

what OS u running, if its windows XP its mega easy , just go to start>All programs>Accessories>System tools>BACKUP

Then just follow the wizard
