Back with a new PC!

It's been about a good year since I was last on here. I've decided to build a new computer since it's been about 4 years since my last build and also since Diablo III's out now and my old computer was capable of handling it, but I've always build AMD machines because of how affordable they are. The last Intel machine I build was back in the day that included a Pentium D cpu with the NVIDIA 7950 GT. In any case, I wanted to build an Intel machine so here it is:

Case: Corsair Obsidion 800D
CPU: Intel i7 2600K
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master V8
Motherboard: EVGA Z68 FTW
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3
Video Card: EVGA GTX 480 (only $219 at Newegg!!!)
PSU: Corsair TX850w
HDD: OCZ 120 GB SSD
DVD: Asus DVD/CD burner

I'll post pictures up and possibly a video edit and share once it's all here! Glad to finally be a part of the Intel family =D

D3 doesn't make use of hyperthreading, so go with the i5-2500k. You do not need a GTX 480 to run D3 at maxed settings. A Radeon 6770, which is half the price, can max it out.

Save 100$ on case and get the 650D, Save 90$ on CPU and get 2500K and more by getting 750W PSU and 8 GB RAM and from the saved money get a GTX 670 or either GTX 680 for future proof.

Guys, I think he's already bought all this stuff!

Reading the bold one I thought he is going to order the parts, but reading the red part I think the parts are going to reach him soon.

Yeah, it's been ordered! I guess I should elaborate: I'm not building this computer for the sake of only playing D3 or other games. I am well-aware that the i5-2600K would be perfect for that, but I'm also a big video editor that uses Adobe Premiere, Sony Vegas, etc. (my friends and I make snowboarding and freeride mountain biking videos) as well as doing graphic design stuff for work. I've read a lot of reviews, comparisons, and YouTube videos to determine my decision. Plus, because I got a new job that pays well, I wanted to splurge =)

Yeah an i7 2600K is a better choice than an i5 2500K for video editing and graphic design. I do (fairly light) editing on my overclocked 2500K using Premiere and Vegas and both run fine, but it'd be a bit faster with an overclocked 2600K. :D
