Hi
Ok here's the problem, short and simple:
Downloaded a program from forum that turns to be Hijacker/backdoor/keylogger program. At least it hijacked my steam account somehow. Still afraid, did it stole other information from me, and is it still hiding somewhere in my computer, even though I deleted the stupid .exe, and ran all kinds of spyware/virus programs.
And here's the message i send to Steam support, asking if they could help to get my account back:
So I'm still wondering do I still have some backdoor programs on my comp.
Here's image of my firewalls log where the shitty program got into:

So what do you guys think?, what kind of hijacker program that was?
I don't think it was keylogger, i didin't even write anything to anywhere while it was runnuing. I had only Steam running in background.
I don't really understand how the program got my personal steam information(acc name/password). Did it read it somewhere from those lsass.exe files or what...
and is it possible, that it got more of my logins/passwords and personal stuff from my computer, other than my Steam acc/pass?
hope someone could clear some things up
what should i do?
thanks...

Hi
I am quite sure my account got hijacked by third-party program. I downloaded from forum an .exe program that just should have told me my steam id, which i wanted just to know(without going into game console and write: status, lazy me...). Well it program seemed ok, and it didin't look like keylogger/hijacker or something like that.
Well I had steam running in background and I started the program. Only thing what happened that my firewall alert me with lots of some accessing stuff. After i just closed the firewalls alert windows, i didin't realize that I should have blocked all accesses, what that .exe file tried to do. So the so called .exe program didint do anything.
And at some point I closed Steam, after a while... I wanted to go back playing CSS... but when I tried to login, it just said my Login to steam failed... because of account does not exist, password was wrong, I am sure i wrote my account name and password correct but no, i couldnt login no more.
And I tried to retrieve my account using my account name or my email adress but I just never recieved email.
So I think what happened was that stupid program somehow readed from my system files at least my steam login information, and send them to some hacker, who then changed all my personal information.
so ofcourse after this I deleted the stupid fake program and run all kinds of spyware and virus programs to get my computer clean.
and heres my information what i used to have in steam.
account name: ***********
password: **********
email: *******
and hijacking date/time was 19.08.2008, clock was around ~22.00 (10pm).... (GMT+3)
So I really hope u could help me to get my account back to me which got stolen from me (motstly because my own stupidity, you shouldt trust some random guy in a gaming forum)
regards
