Background Eraser

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help me?

I am after a background eraser programme e.g. Adobe CS3 or Photo Shop Pro

However, it is so expensive I was wondering if there was any cheaper options that done the same thing that I can download and use.

I don't mind paying for the programme but I need it now and don't have this kind of cash for a couple of months.

Any help / advice really appreciated.

oh gimp looks a bit complicated.

It is not any more complicated than Photoshop. If you are just looking to take the background out of an image, there are some pretty easy to follow tutorials at www.gimptalk.com .

Ok, I had a look but unsure which tutorial to look at for the background eraser? Does anyone have a link GIMP tutorial for the background eraser?
