Go ahead and run hijackthis and post the log. What program is telling you that you are using 30 percent cpu? Your post is a little confusing. You could have malware on your system as well, have you ran Malwarebytes?
Well if I go to the "Processes" tab of task manager and add up the Memory usage and CPU usage of all of my programs (
that it shows are running, so not including background programs), it totals about 1 GB memory and 30 percent CPU. But then I go to the "Performance" tab of task manager and the "Memory" and "CPU Usage" graphs total up to way more than 1 GB and 30 percent, respectively. I have no malware on my computer, I run virus scans every day with Bitdefender, and no viruses ever come up. I really just need a program that I can see background programs with, but my Advanced Task Manager trial ran out, lol. Here is the Hijackthis log:
