Backing up refurbished system?

I wanted to upgrade systems with out paying a lot of money so I bought a refurbished Dell Optiplex 760. It came with Windows 7 Professional but no disks. I've started installing my other programs (ie, MS Office 2010, etc) but the hard drive in the system is only 245GB.

Is there a way to backup my system on DVD's that I can use to install everything on my old hard drive (500GB) from my old system after I format it?

What I want to do is take the old drive out of my old system and put it in the refurbished Dell then reinstall the operating system and other programs that are currently on the Dell.

Thanks. I'll e-mail the links to myself so I can print them up later (I don't have a printer connected to this computer).
