backing up restore partition to dvd

Hi,

my fujitsu-siemens laptop has a hidden partition with all the restore files etc on it, I press F12 during boot up and I have an option to run a system restore using the secret directory.

My question is how do I go about backing up this partition to dvd in a way that allows me to boot the disks and restore everything should something go wrong and I need to?

Thanks

Scott

Probably the best method would be to use something like G4U or some kind of harddrive imaging software to backup the drive/partition. This way, if anything should go wrong, it'd be very easy to restore everything exactly like it was.

Also, I'm not exactly sure what Fujitsu uses, but I know some machines just have a type of IMG file. Even if you lost the partition, as long as you could get the restore software compatible with the file, you could simply copy it and restore it later without the partition.
