BACKING UP to new HD

Ok now that I've finally managed to install a new hard drive, 80gb that I am using as a slave, can someone please tell me the easiest way to copy everything over to it, apart from the operating system, using windows 2000 professional. Can I simply use windows back up?

Any help most appreciated
