Backing up USB hardrive

Im trying to back-up my laptop harddrive.
I tryed connecting it to my normal IDE and using the ghost i have to back it up but had issues with that.

Now im going to try connecting the hdd to usb,
But does anyone know a program that will back the hard drive up like ghost would ??
