I was wondering how I could back up my DVD's to my hard drive. This is also partially a question about copy-protection.
I recently bought the AOA DVD Ripper because the Trial seemed to do a good job of getting good quality rips off my Arrested Development Season DVD's. I just bought the program, and am running into issues near the end of each episode (so far have only done 3) where the program stops ripping and crashes. I was able to edit one of the rips to end one second before the end and it managed to yield a good video. I am still trying with the others. I was able to get the videos off of the Special Features section, but am having a hard time with these last couple videos.
I am asking if this sounds like a problem with the discs/ripper or if this is a problem with the copy-protection on the disc. I have no idea how copy protection works, so I thought I'd post something on here. I'm ripping these for completely legal purposes (at least I believe and hope so), I bought these DVDs and I'm just looking to watch them without switching all the discs.
Thanks for any advice!
