my co-worker offered to sell me his 7800 gtx for $100 - the catch is that the fan on it doesn't work anymore. he said something about getting a replacement fan for or something - didn't really know what he was talking about so i was hoping maybe someone on here could help clarify. thanks!

Just buy an aftermarket heatsink for the card, it shouldn't cost too much, probably around 30 bucks for a decent one.

yea ive seen a few on ebay also for pretty cheap
