as soon as I turn on my computer i get a message that says "the application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32|rasman.dll is not a valid windows image. please check this against your installation diskette." the title bar for the pop up reads " DDE Server: qebpvp.exe - bad image"

I either click ok or the X to close it but as soon as i do another one just like it pops up. and then another and another and another ect.

How I can I stop this endless wave of pop-ups?

Maybe try replacing the dll with this. Download it to your desktop. Then copy it to C:/Windows/System32.

But, make a backup first by finding the original dll in the system32 folder and copying it to your my documents folder.

Heres a link. If that doesnt work try searching google for another one.

If you still have no luck, first restore the dll you backed up. Then, try going to start--->run--->msconfig--->startup, and disabling unneeded programs. (Because maybe one of them might be needing the dll, so turning it off could solve this...but...try the above solution first though).

You might also try a restoration with the windows xp cd....
