I just pick up two more gigs of ddr2 ocz platnum pc6400. I also bought call of duty 4. the game was crashing about 5-10 minutes in. i fought with video drivers for hours. then i finally pulled out a memory module. ran the game and and it didn't crash at all. tested crysis too ran fine. could it be a bad memory module? Im gonna swap it out with another to check. could there be TOO MUCH ram? i have xp 32bit and i had four gigs in and it would crash, with 3 it works fine. XP is only recognizing 2.75gigs of ram (although cpu-z states there are four) I know xp only supports around 3. what gives??

How much ram can your motherboard support?
XP wont use the full 4gb, but it shouldnt crash it, it should just ignore some.

Try downloading something called memtest86. Its a ram disagnostic. Fairly standard on most linux livecds and stuff.
