Bad RAMm checker?

I jhave heard metion of thison the forum before;...I searched for one and coun't find any..

Do bda Memory prorgam's exist? That check for bad spot's on the RAM? If so please direct me with a link

I don't need any iso'\s my PC boots fine, i just need a program to run.
I'm confussed on wher to download just a program on this memtest..

bootable memory testers are the best at checking your RAM since the second Windows loads, you already have used RAM and memcheck programs can't test used RAM for errors, it is best to use a bootable floppy or CD.

But one comment, if window's has already loaded onto some of the ram with no error's wouldn't that thus prove that ram is okay?

Not necesarily... my RAM could boot perfectly fine into windows but it didnt pass memtest86+ at factory specs.

bad RAM can run just fine until a calculation error occurs and then BAM....crashed. Similar to a CPU, it only really starts getting unstable when its used heavily over a period of time. Windows would be able to boot fine on some bad RAM but when you...play a game, for example, it could crash after a while since the RAM is being worked harder.
