Also, tellme how to know in which drive/part of the hard-drive has got Bad-Sector in it.. ?

Please, inform an OS-inbuilt software to detect the problem.
and how to perform the task.

Me using- XP Professional.

Hey there, when that scan at boot up runs when you start, its usauly cause the computer wasnt shut down properly. Anyway, with the bad sector thing, Id suggest starting your computer in safe mode, by tapping f8 as the computer starts up, and running disk defragmentar and disk cleanup in programs, accessories, system tools.

hddregenerator reparis bad sectors.

To what extent can this repair bad sectors? And if I have data residing there, can I access it and move them to a safer place? And where can I get this valuable program?

I am suffering from some bad sectors on one of my hard disks and this hard disk was my primary storage for a whole year and it contains really valuable data, so your help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
