Bad time to buy...

Hi, I was considering upgrading my PC to a dual core and new GPU. I understand technology always moves so fast but appears at the current time its a real bad time to upgrade or buy with Vista about and dual core, quad core etc..

Who else agrees?

Also think its best waiting for quad core?
 
See in the world of computer every new day there is new technology and by your saying if we will go thru your process then whole life a persone cannot buy a computer..... Well go for what is available at present btw.. Vista future is no more now with Me2 news less people will be buying that :O .. Btw why don't you shift for Linux ..
 
The biggest thing about waiting with Vista out is if you have some older devices that won't work properly because there isn't the proper drivers for it. Obviously this can create some problems, but once the first service pack is out for Vista, it should rectify most of these problems.
 
I dont think its a bad time to build,Alot of people are now building their new C2D builds with a nice 8800 but im gonna wait until i see what AMD releases,then i get my new comp...so that gives me more time to save up.

i already have Vista so im sorted for that:)
 
I suggest you to wait a few more months. I head that another prize drop will occour arround fall this years. by that time Q6600 will drop from 500+ all the way to 259.99 USD to be ready to take on AMD next quad core cpu.
