Bad year for gaming

Anyone else agree that 2009 has been a poor year for games? With not many groundbreaking games come out. But looking at 2010 next year could be amazing, with games such as star trek online and half life 2 episode 3.

Anyone else agree :)
 
Yeah gotta say i agree. Although, FEAR2 was spot on imo, but apart from that, yeah, shit year! lol! Infact, thats the only game i've bought this year!!!!!

As you say though, '10 should be a brilliant year for games, loads to look forwards to.
 
Starcraft 2, Deus Ex 3, Diablo 3, Left 4 Dead 2, Bioshock 2, Battlefield 3, BF 1943, Alien vs Predator 3, HL2 EP3 possibly.... Yeah, I think 2010 will be a good year ;)
 
This year has been crap for gaming.
I hope all those listed above come out next year, along with hitman 5.
 
Well i actualy think that there were some good games this year...them been:

COD:WOW
GTA IV
BIA:Hells Highway
NFS:Shift

and hopefully COD:MW2 will be good,If the petition goes to plan.

Petition? About that stupid matchmaking thing?

I personally wont buy it unless it has servers, plain and simple.
 
Well, Starcraft 2 was scheduled to come out December of 2008; I'm a little disappointing they had to push that until 2010. So IMO 2009 sucked.

Well dont you think its better to have had them delay Starcraft 2 and fix/do whatever they need to do to it rather than just rush out the game and everyone has loads of problems with it?

Imo alot of games these days are been rushed out and people end up with realy buggy games.

Anyway it will be something to look farward too,I remember playing the first Starcraft and it was a great game!

so far it is looking good for the petition, so long as IW recognise it.

I joined early this morning at just under 4k signatures, now it is at *checks* just gone over 20k :D

I don't think they will change it though, IW are trying to "cover it up".

i have been on the IW forums most of the day, posting and reading, seeing if any more comes of it and mods are closing just about every thread with links to the petition, steam group or xfire group, those saying how stupid it is and how much it sucks and those saying they aren't going to be buying the game.

i cancelled my preorder this morning and am keeping it that way.

I still cannot believe they are doing this. they are not only hurting us but in the long run (money wise) they are only hurting themselves.

I wouldn't be surprised if this game is a flop after seeing this.
 
Dragon Age: Origins and Assassin's Creed 2 are coming out before the end of the year. Depending on how it goes with the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer aspect, that could be seen as a good thing for PC gaming as well.

IDK, there has to be a balance. They haven't been doing anything for a while now. They need to start that damn beta testing soon.

And I still play the original Starcraft...:o
