Bandwidth Control

Hi all!
I'm new to the forum and i have a question:
Is there any software for remote bandwidth control that is freeware?

The network that i'm interested in has 3 pc's connected to the internet through a router. The router does not have any "QoS" or traffic shapping options by itself.
So i want a software that will limit the bandwidth of specific pc's.
Preferably the bandwidth limit will be dynamic (something like this server-free/distributed mode).
But i don't mind changing the bandwidth limitations for all the pc's on the network from a single computer manually. I'm mostly interested in the remote administration from a single computer of the bandwidth available to any pc on the network .

Any suggestions? (preferably freeware)

Im more curious Clark.
What would be the purpose of limiting bandwidth on three computers?

Unless someone was mass downloading a tera byte i would not see limiting the bandwidth useful.

Butt, ..........on the other hand thats what i do.
with 5 computers hooked up the rest of the family just goes to there favorite site, check there email and nobody noticed a difference.

Believe me it can be very usefull!!

Example 1: if the 2 pc's are downloading something (not terrabyte in size but even 100Mb in size each) and the 3rd pc wants to download something equal in size but more important that can't wait what do you do?
==>Limit bandwidth temporarily to the other pc's so all 3 can continue to be on the web but the 3rd pc gets more bandwidth!

Example 2:when one of the pc's is playing online and the other 2 pc's just surf the web (e.g. visiting youtube, looking at photos etc.) you are going to notice spikes of ping in the first pc reaching 2000ms!!!! meaning you can't really play online. What do you do?
==>Limit bandwidth temporarily to the other pc's so all 3 can continue to be on the web but the 3rd pc gets more bandwidth which equals to smaller increase in ping!

Maybe you've got a pretty fast internet connection but mine is not that fast!

So anyway, back to the point tremmor, do you know any such software? :)

Unfortunately it only allows monitoring of 1 pc's bandwidth usage and no limiting of remote pc bandwidth.

Anyway, fireballs i really appreciate the effort to help me! Thanks! :)

I guess if i want to have any decent bandwidth control i'll have to buy either a shareware software or a new router with hardware support for bandwidth management.
