Basic Language Memory Test

I have a computer I built from a kit. The computer (not a PC) has a Basic interpreter firmware. It's not MS Window capable but is an Altair 8800 based home computer. I need a memory test coded in Basic. I'm not a programmer so any help is appreciated. Thank you

Thanks. A great resource for hardware but as I've checked before, no software. People named there are either no longer available or software is not their focus.

Is it even possible to write a memory test in basic? You don't exactly have direct access to read/write to memory.

Yes you can write memory tests in Basic. I have a couple now but they are for a Commodore PET and C128. Unfortunately for me the Basic programs will not run because of compatibility problems.
