bat files

I know this isnt really security but you can use these to mess up stuff....has anyone ever played with bat files??? I like to make bat files that will open up you cd drive and then the bat file opens up a vbs files that starts spraying messages all over the screen lol. I was just wondering if there have ever been viruses made from these??

but as for serious viruses i dont think they would really work. im no expert tho :)
 
I made a .bat file which remotely shutdown my professors computer over the schools network, and showed him it when he was using his computer over the projector demonstrating something :P

Of course this was programming class and I asked him if I could show him.
