Battery for Inspiron E1505...

Hello,

The battery for my E1505 does retain a charge any more. I took the plastic battery housing apart, and inside there are six green battery looking cylinders linked together with brackets and then connected to the inverter board, along with other various wires. These six batteries must be what is no longer holding the charge. Since I was able to get at them fairly easily, I am assuming that I don't need to buy the whole ready to install battery assembly, which is about $70.00, and I can just re-solder in some new ones. Questions:

What is the technical name for these battery cylinders? Is there some way obscure website where I can find some replacements?

At this point, I would feel really stupid buying a battery from Dell when all I have to do is locate the cylinders and solder them myself. Thanks for your reply...any other info you think pertinent is also greatly appreciated. Please respond respectfully, or just move on.

Here is the part number for the cells. If you Google this, you'll get a gazillion hits, but I cannot seem to find a place that sells them:

US18650GR

Ok, I'm pretty sure I have found some sources to buy the cells. One place is selling LG18650GRs and the only difference from the US18650GRs is the country of origin. Now, I need to know how to reset the EEPROM memory that is wired to the cells, otherwise, I have been told the replacement cells won't work. Any tips? Please, only helpful non-sarcastic replies. Thank you.
