Battery Problem

Someone just gave me a HP Pavilion ze5170 notebook, and I was noticing a problem with the battery. I saw that the laptop had unusually short battery time, so I tried to calibrate the battery. While doing so, it asked me to charge the battery until the Windows battery power indicator reads 100%. Even after hours upon charging, long after the fully charged light turned on in the front of the computer, the windows batter power indicator only read 92%. How come the Laptop isn't charging fully, and how can I fix this?
 
Battery's getting old. Time for a new one. As the months/years go by, the battery will slowly and eventually loose charge capacity.
 
I've read that laptop batteries that are used regularly and discharged properly last about a year. If it's older than that, time to shell out for a replacement.

You can probably find a refurbished battery if you want to look for a cheaper solution. Otherwise, I would definately suggest getting a battery with an extended life. My battery lasts like... 6-8 hours, it was well worth the extra $50 to upgrade it. Of course it will be more expensive, since the $50 was just to upgrade what I was already getting free.
