Hey i recently upgraded to windows 7 64bit, tried playing battlefield 2, and it would just crash and return to desktop, i tried running it in compatibility mode but that didn't work, anybody know how to fix?
 
I have W7 64bit and i have no problems playing it,have you got all the updates which should load automatically when you start up.Also have you registered the game.
 
Have you updated Battlefiled 2 to verion 1.5? Otherwise it does not support any resolution over 1280x960.
 
I had a similar problem with it just crashing before it loaded. I just went to run as administrator and it worked fine. Have you tried that?
 
Newer Version Installed?

Ok, i tried to install the 1.5 patch, and it says, newer version already installed, can some 1 plz give me a better link for the 1.5 patch, this one might be messed up, is there a way i can fix this problem?
 
now i tried installing the 1.42 patch first, i gets to about 12% then stops and has an error message, some 1 plz help
 
Theres a registry edit you need to do (google it) You need the 1.41 patch, not 1.42. Then the 1.5 patch
