All this talk about nex-gen DVDs made me wonder what everyone prefers. Let me know what you like. Personnaly, my vote's in for BD-DVD.

Me too I think the more it can store the better. I coul use a few BD-ROMs to back up my hardrive and important data... :D

Keep in mind, though, that with Blu-Ray disks the data sits so close to the disk surface that normal disk protection isn't enough. The disk-surface protection that you'd have to use on it isn't cheap (about 5 USD for a standard DVD with this coating). Personally I think that HD-DVD and Blu-Ray need to create a product that can couple the advantages that both offer.

You know who I blame for all these multiple forms of the same media? HP. They came out with this proprietary thing called DVD+R/RW so that people could only buy their stuff. Well, that lasted all of a month before the rest of the industry caught on, and now all it has does is make this more confusing and annoying then it already is... Imagine having to explain this to customers who are over 70 looking for disks like I do every day... Grrr..., way more of a hassle than I'd like to deal with...
