Beep of death

Sup guys,
I don't know what to do and i am out of options here, so i thought you guys can give me some idea as to what to do.

Well my custom built pc is having problem whenever i boot up. It Beeps, (A long continuous beeping with only a .5 second stop in between.)
If i press the restart button, it will sometimes boot-up normally, sometimes i need to press the restart button a couple of times.

I tested the rams on a different computer but thats not the problem. I remove all but the most basic components that is necessary to run a computer but the beeping never cease.

You guys got any idea what the problem is?

My motherboard is a SOYO p41865pe plus dragon 2: CPU P4 3.2 prescott:
memory Crucial Ballistix 2gb DDR PC4000: Video card GEFORCE 7800 gt

idk make sure the ram an all other things are plugged in good.
make sure all power cords are on the MOBO normaly 2 plugs.
reset CMOS, read MOBO book to find out how

Maybe heat is a problem. Check all your fans and power connectors. I don't really know much about mobos though.

Were all your parts brand-new?
First things first - I know it seems labourious and boring, but I would remove everything from the MoBo and re-build it, ensuring you fit EVERYTHING correctly.
If this doesn't work, I would suspect your graphics card - on modern boards, beeps mean 1 of two things - a graphics card or a memory failure, and since you've already tested your RAM, it doesn't look too good for your graphics. You could try fitting the card to the other PC, too (if it will fit etc)
Keep us posted with your problem.

Your MoBo's book will have a 'Troubleshooting' section and most likely list what different beeps mean. I'd read through that before you start ripping your system apart.

This recently happened to one of my computers and it turned out to be both the Ram and the video card. If you have already checked your ram and feel confident that it is OK, I would look at the video card.

Anyway, i remove the battery from the mobo but i loss it now and i have no idea what battery i need to buy. Does anyone know what battery i need to get?

I can get the computer to run if i restart it a couple of times but now it super slow and i think it's because i remove that battery.

Have you spilled anything on the keyboard?

Could have a sticky key.Try plugging in another keyboard before ripping everything apart

If you know the RAM is ok try running Memtest with one stick in each slot at a time. Very boring but a good double checker. Put stick 1 in slot 1, run Memtest, then stick 2 in slot 1, run Memtest, then stick 1 in slot 2 and so forth. Just rechecks everything with your RAM.

Tried doing as people suggested and reseat everything? Including your CPU? Also, any news on trying the graphics cards?

Rove.

It needs to have a battery to run correctly!

Possibly Memory

I'm not too familiar with computers, but I have the same board(Soyo P41865PE Plus Dragon 2). I looked in the booklet that came with it and it says that it supports PC2700 and PC3200 DDR's. You're trying to use PC4000, that may be why it's not starting up. Did you try with PC2700 or PC 3200?
