Beeping - HELP!!!
Hi, I really need the help of some pros out there!
I have a GA-8SMMLP Motherboard with an onboard graphics process by SiS, the SiS 650GX. It never used to beep till recently when I began playing this free online MMORPG. (before this MMORPG i played the demo of UT2004)
Since playing this MMOPRG, the CPU beeped after a while of playing so i deduced that it must be due to the graphics intensity that is overheating the graphics processor. I downloaded this program called SpeedFan, and the machine beeps everytime 'Temp2', which i assumed to be the graphics, reaches 40deg C.
Just today, I bought another graphics card, ATi Radeon 9250 128mb to add onto the AGP slot. No disabling of the onboard graphics was required and the new graphics card was instantly recognised. I tested UT2004 again, raising some of the texture details etc, and it began to beep again!
I checked Temp2, and it was 40deg C. What is the problem now, and how should i solve it?
(I intend to clean out the dust on the inside in the next week to see if it helps, but is there any other way?)
Thanks in advance!
