Beginner builder, advice please

I have finally chosen to go with the Phenom II X4 965BE after numerous days of deciding. I live in Canada, but the links will be Newegg.com This desktop will be used for pretty much everything, but mostly gaming, so I have decided on the HD 5870. My budget is still not confirmed, I will verify when all the parts are firm.

As for the power supply, I did not have the time to research how much I need and reliable brands. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine is awesome. i am really pleased with it. and its modular. see sig. btw thats a nice setup. i see nothing wrong with it. it looks like what i should have done when i built mine. but the board is showing to be unavailable by newegg. you must have a lock on one or already have it.

I would pick another case, Raidmax are pretty cheap made.

Save a few bucks and get the C3/GM 955, both will overclock about the same.

As far as power supplies, get between a 550 and 650W for a little head room, from Corsair/Antec/PC Power & Cooling/ OCZ/BFG/Seasonic/Silverstone/Xclio

If your not planning on running Crossfire get the newer 870 with the SB850

Thats not a bad case per se, but i'd get one of these over that, much better value for money, as that case really doesnt have many features for what it costs:

i think that the case should be something that the user will be happy with in the end. suggestions are fine when in the same class as the original one that was picked out. i looked at hundreds of cases and took looks and price into consideration before i found one that i was happy with. i saw a used TT V3 and loved it. even though the metal was a little thin. but im not gonna be moving it around. something that someone else likes in a case may be hideous/useless to another member. i guess thats why i have never suggested a case to a member. (unless there is a measurement issue with a mb or GPU)
