Belkin Acquires Linksys

Now Linksys will go to crap, they were so much better then belkin. I can't believe that even happened. Linksys/Cisco is so much bigger then Belkin. I think I'm sticking with Asus routers now anyway.
 
Yeah but the last two years or so, Linksys routers have been absolute crap. The WRT54G was the last good router Linksys put out. All the Valet and E-series routers were absolute garbage.

I agree there, I only trusted the wrt54g series. I was gonna try a different linksys router this time but I see newegg doesn't even show it anymore, can't remember the model number.
 
I have a WRT54G with DD-WRT firmware on it connected as a wired (wireless) access point. I also have a WRT120N with DD-WRT and a WRT54GS2 with stock firmware. They're both rather junk. Used one of them as an interum when I had to RMA my first RT-N56U and it was so sllllloooooowwwww compared to the ASUS.
 
I didn't like a number of linksys routers I have bought. Anymore, my internet provider just ships something out and I use whatever arrives.
