Ok, here is the story -
I had a netgear router, which even though it worked perfectly it gave up on me and died
soooo i went out and brought a Belkin N1 - because this would be my second Netgear i thought i would try a different make. soooo
I had the Netgear set up to portforward to allow Real VnC to work. I have 'no-ip' working on the desktop i am connecting to.
The only thing i am having issues with is getting VnC to connect. I can connect using my internal ip address from another computer, but if i use my domain name and/or ip address from a computer within my own network or from a computer outside it, it displays a message of 'connection refused'. I followed all the instructions on Real VnC and Port forward.com and believe i have it set up correctly.
I have also reinstalled the No-ip software.
I have a TCP and UDP port forwarding to my computer's internal ip address etc. Is there anything special with this type of router, cos obviously the interface is a slightly different set up to what I'm use to.
Any help would be most appreciated.!!
