Belkin Router

Ive been trying to open the ports on this router, with no luck. Ive been to Firewall, Virtual Servers, add the ports range (tried lots of different ones), for udp/tcp, add the private ip of the computer i want and enable. They still wont open, what am i missing?

basically for what reason why you want to open ports on your router? you could upgrade the firmware of your router and try reconfigure it again hopefully that would work.
